SINGAPORE, March 24, 2021 — Beowulf Blockchain, the global leader for decentralized cloud communications, today announced it has partnered with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to deploy QUICKOM for the academic community in Ho Chi Minh city. Through unparalleled academic delivery and quality, this partnership will foster knowledge exchange globally for a wider social purpose.

The signing ceremony opens in the presence of several local government authorities. Chief among them are Deputy Secretary of the Union of Ho Chi Minh City, and delegates of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City.

“As teachers and students are oscillating between virtual and physical classrooms, Beowulf Blockchain’s mission — to empower people to connect without barriers — is more vital than ever,” said Dr. William H. Nguyen, CEO and Founder of Beowulf Blockchain. “As we face unprecedented technological change and economic upheaval, that mission, and the company’s broader social purpose, have a unique role to play in helping academic communities break down regional borders and make the most of online interactions. And the advanced distance teaching technology at the core of Beowulf Blockchain is providing an imperative platform to make that happen.”

Since its launch, QUICKOM has grown rapidly in the video conferencing and collaboration space by identifying and addressing the technology gaps that have existed in traditional video conferencing solutions. Because the platform is underpinned by a global decentralized cloud network, it ensures unmatched HD quality for video and sound and significantly faster connections when compared to other services providers, while utilizing the smallest bandwidth capacity possible.

QUICKOM provides a collaborative platform for large-scale online conferences that enables a truly immersive learning experience and participation for a full class of up to 10,000 students. Its key features include two-way interactive tools for large-scale collaboration, robust host controls, virtual video background, real-time interpretation, breakout rooms, plug-ins for most popular LMS platforms, etc. To join a classroom, students can easily click on a link, or scan a unique QR code using their phone’s camera without the need for any other application.

By integrating AI-powered video processing into its technology stack, QUICKOM’s newly-launched Virtual Video Background feature allows participants to “teleport” from different locations into one shared virtual space, while also being able to collaborate and interact just like they’re in the same space.

“Remote learning, in-classroom and hybrid instruction — No matter where the teaching takes place, our focus is on enabling teachers to deliver impactful and engaging instruction and redefining students’ learning experience,” said Dr. William H. Nguyen.
